This vegetable tanned leather has a distinctive natural grain which has been brought out by working the leather until it has become relaxed and supple, without losing any of its toughness. The grain varies across the hide making each journal unique. And it even smells as good as it looks! This is the sort of journal that you can throw in your rucksack without worrying too much about it or it would be equally at home on your desk. The wraparound cover encloses the paper and is held in place with thonging that we make from the same leather, this makes a handy and fully adjustable pen loop on the inside of the cover. Perfect as a travel journal, personal diary or bushcraft / wild camping notebook. ~Shipping Times~ This journal is not a stock item, when you buy it we will be making it especially for you. Please see our shop policies section for our current dispatch dates. ~Size & Binding~ 16cm x 11cm x 3cm (6.25 x 4.25 x 1.25 inches) Approximately 200 pages (400 sides) of A6 sized, unlined, recycled, paper. The pages in this book are hand bound using a strong waxed cord. No glue is used, so the spine of the book cannot be broken, our binding is strong and permanent. ~Paper~ Our paper is 100% recycled and is a natural, off-white, oatmeal colour. It has a matt appearance, is slightly textured and it takes most fountain pens without ‘bleeding’. It’s of archival quality which is great if you’re planning on leaving your words for future generations! ~Personalisation~ We can personalise this journal for you by printing a name, initials, date, inscription, or any other text that you can think of on the first paper page inside, this is free of charge. Just add a note at the end of checkout or email us to let us know what text you would like. Unlike our journals with carved designs we cannot add text to the cover as the leather is not suitable for tooling.
